As a program that began
just after WW II to replace American books destroyed
during the war, the Books Across the Sea project
today fulfills the English-Speaking Union's goals
through the written word. There are three
parts to Books Across the Sea project:
Ambassador
Book Award
Given annually to authors whose works have made an exceptional contribution
to interpreting the life and culture of the United States to other English-speaking
people.
Books
As Envoys

overseas for a variety of uses.
