Why Should You Become a National Patron?

By becoming a national patron you support meaningful cultural and educational programs that enrich the lives our members and thousands of middle school, high school and college students nationwide, as well as the greater international community of those teaching, learning and speaking English.

As a National Patron You Will:

  • be acknowledged in our nation publications 
  • receive invitations to exclusive events 
  • be able to designate up to half of your gift to your local Branch while receiving national recognition for the full amount of your gift
  • receive the special benefits of your membership level **
  • have the option to make quarterly payments*

ESU National Patron Program Membership Levels and Benefits

National Donor $300
  • National membership to the ESU for you and your partner.
  • Invitation to the National Patron Event at the ESU Annual Conference.
  • Option to direct up to half of your gift to your Branch.
  • National recognition for the full amount of your gift in our publications.
National Sponsor $500
  • All benefits listed above.
  • Dining and lodging privileges at the National Arts Club in New York City.
Sustaining Member $750
  • All benefits listed above.
  • Invitation to special National and Branch functions.
President's Circle $1,000
  • All benefits listed above.
  • Book, transcript or DVD of interest to Patrons.**
  • Invitations to Exclusive ESU President Events.
Chairman's Circle $2,500
  • All benefits listed above.
  • Invitations to ESU Chairman Events including an exclusive dinner with ESU Chair Patricia Schroeder.
National Fellow $5,000
  • All benefits listed above.
  • A selection of Ambassador Award books.**
Walter Hines Page Society $10,000
  • All benefits listed above.

Ambassador Society $15,000

*If you are a first-time Patron or if you wish to move to a higher Patron level, you may arrange a convenient payment schedule by calling the Development Office at National Headquarters at 212-818-1200 ext. 218.

** If you elect to receive premiums, items with asterisks, the IRS mandates the tax-deductible amount will be reduced by the market value of items received as determined by the ESU.
