  • September 24, 2016: Orientation Workshop at the Hackley School (Tarrytown, NY)
  • November 5, 2016: Wilberforce School (Princeton, NJ)
  • December 3, 2016: Rutgers University (New Brunswick, NJ)
  • February 4, 2017: Horace Greeley High School (Chappaqua New York)
  • April 8, 2017: Norwalk Community College (Norwalk, CT)
  • April 23, 2017: National Championship in California at Calremont Mckenna College.

Debate Topics:

  • The US should not maintain a missile defense for South Korea and Japan.

  • The Federal Government should withhold funds for sanctuary cities.

Tournament Format & Schedule:

The tournament will consist of 4 rounds.

The first three rounds will cover two pre-announced topics (one topic will be debated twice, with each team debating both sides) with the third round side randomly assigned
on the other pre-announced topic.

The fourth round will be on an impromptu topic.

After the first four rounds, the top two teams in the event will debate a final impromptu topic in front of the entire public.
