Wrench speakers address current events
or subjects of cultural or historical interest. Regional tours of
Evelyn Wrench speakers are planned and underwritten by the ESU National
Headquarters with the cooperation
and assistance
of Regional Chairmen and the Branches.
Recent Evelyn Wrench Speakers
include:

Oliver Everett, the former librarian of Windsor Castle, spoke
about Windsor Castle, its occupants and history from 1080-2002,
as well as its treasures and curiosities.

David Beeton, former Chief Executive
of
Historical Royal Palaces, gave a presentation on running
the Queen's
Palaces.

Peter Wescombe, formerly
of Her Majesty's
Diplomatic Service, shared his knowledge about the world-wide
intelligence network in World War II and the breaking of
the Nazi Enigma Code.

Professor Alan Lee Williams, the former
President of the Atlantic Treaty Association and the Director
of the Atlantic
Council of the UK, spoke on NATO and the Counter-Terrorist
Strategy.
