The Washington DC Area Branch hosted esteemed
journalist Robert MacNeil, former co-anchor of PBS’ award-winning
MacNeil/Lehrer Newshour, who talked about his book, Looking for
My Country. The Branch was also privileged to hear Jane Alexander
discuss her roles as a stage and screen actress and Chairman
of the National Endowment for the Arts.
Niall Ferguson, Visiting Professor of History at Oxford University
and the Herzog Professor of Financial History at New York University/Stern
School of Business, delivered a provocative lecture to a joint
meeting of the New York Branch and the Oxford Alumnae Society
on his recent book, Empire: The Rise and Demise of the British
World Order and the Lessons for American Global Power.
