Authors on Tour

Contemporary writers tour ESU Branches.

The Washington DC Area Branch hosted esteemed journalist Robert MacNeil, former co-anchor of PBS’ award-winning MacNeil/Lehrer Newshour, who talked about his book, Looking for My Country. The Branch was also privileged to hear Jane Alexander discuss her roles as a stage and screen actress and Chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts.
Niall Ferguson, Visiting Professor of History at Oxford University and the Herzog Professor of Financial History at New York University/Stern School of Business, delivered a provocative lecture to a joint meeting of the New York Branch and the Oxford Alumnae Society on his recent book, Empire: The Rise and Demise of the British World Order and the Lessons for American Global Power.
