ESU National Shakespeare Project
Teachers and students celebrate the beauty and power of Shakespeare's works by participating in the following Project programs:

ESU National Shakespeare Competition

A performance-based education program where high school students nationwide read, analyze, perform and recite Shakespearean monologues and sonnets in as many as three qualifying stages [school, ESU Branch (community) and national].

National Shakespeare Competition

will take place

Sunday, April 22nd -Tuesday, April 24th, 2012
in New York City.

British Universities Summer School Program

Scholarships offered to high school teachers for three-week summer study courses in the United Kingdom.

Shakespeare Set Free Institute

A two-day interactive workshop for Shakespeare teachers, which provides them with methods and materials to teach performance-based approaches to the Bard's works, so they can set Shakespeare free among their students. This is a program of The English-Speaking Union of the United States and the Folger Shakespeare Library.
