Shakespeare: Words in Action

At the workshop, teachers learn how to evaluate resources (including those online) and techniques for integrating technology effectively into teaching Shakespeare in the classroom, as well as an introduction to Shakespeare-related software.

Cambridge University Press provides books for the workshop.

The first half of the workshop includes:
* General Thoughts About Teaching Shakespeare
* Working With Subtext
* Creating Two-line Scenes, a non-threatening means to get students on their feet.
* Performing a Scene

The second half continues with:
* Close Analysis of Text
* Examining Shakespeare's Texts, various versions of quartos and folios promote understanding
* Looking at plays not traditionally taught in schools, particularly the comedies
