The 2023 ESU Nationals Shakespeare Competition Semi-finals will be held LIVE in New York City on April 24, 2023

Branch competitions should conclude by March 5.

Branch Winner Form is due by March 5.

National will provide your branch champion with their Winner Packet directly. This form will include everything they need to know to participate in the competition. It will also include space for them to submit a video to participate in the People's Choice Award competition.

The deadline to hold your branch competition is March 5, 2023. As this is our first live competition since COVID, we respectfully ask that you please adhere to this deadline as it will help us to facilitate the safe and timely transport of your Branch Champion to New York City. If you do not yet know the date and/or location of your branch competition, please share that information with Betty Trevino-Roth at btrevinoroth@esuus.org as soon as possible.

Some branches, due to size and location, invite more than one student per school to compete in their Branch Competition. To do so is at the discretion of the branch.

You will have the option of printing this completed form and mailing it in with a check or paying by credit card via PayPal. You will not need to create a PayPal account in order to use your credit card.

Branch Participation Fee:

PLEASE NOTE: As we are returning to the normal, pre-COVID format of a live competition in New York City, we are also returning to the traditional fee structure.

Fee: $600 branch fee

Although the cost of holding a live competition has increased significantly, the generous donations of our branches and members to the National Shakespeare Competition Endowment Fund have allowed us to keep the same branch fee as we have had for many years.
