It's time to renew your membership, but first things first. Let's review.
When it comes to the ESU – its programs, events and opportunities for people of all ages – there's no shortage of enthusiasm to keep it going strong well into its next 100 years. Members care deeply about legacy, preservation and tradition while also looking to innovate, broaden and renew the things about this organization that make it unique and relevant.
The refrain of our mission "to celebrate English as a shared language to foster global understanding and good will by providing educational and cultural opportunities for students, educators, and members" resounds in the various and thought-provoking lectures and social events planned for this year. And we don't want you to miss any of it.
July 1 begins the ESU fiscal year and it is time to renew. Your membership dollars, just like your name, travels farther than you ever will. Locally and nationally, programs like The English-Speaking Union National Shakespeare Competition, BUSS (British University Summer School), and the National Speakers Program continue to enrich the lives of tens of thousands of members, students and teachers.
Renewing your membership or upgrading to a National Patron membership, translates into what we've already stated: preservation and innovation; tradition and relevance; legacy and renewal.
And do remember, all membership dues and gifts to the ESU, including National Patron membership, are fully tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
With more vigor than ever, we look forward to your support and participation in the coming year.
Membership does not include enrollment in English in Action or the Andrew Romay New Immigrant Center (ARNIC).
