Passports to Possibilities: Where Learning Leads

AN EXCITING DAY FOR OUR SCHOLARS!
The English-Speaking Union, Kentucky Branch is thrilled to be sending off our remarkable scholars to study in the United Kingdom this summer! As their departure dates draw closer, the excitement continues to build—not just for the incredible academic and cultural experiences awaiting them abroad, but for the lifelong friendships, broadened perspectives, and unforgettable memories they are about to make.
At this special send-off event, we will proudly present each scholar with their stipend check to support their journey, along with our heartfelt congratulations and well-wishes. It’s a meaningful milestone—one that represents their hard work, dedication, and the bright futures ahead of them. We cannot wait to celebrate these outstanding students and teacher as they prepare to embark on this extraordinary adventure. The countdown to summer is officially on!
What a week for celebrating brilliance and the Bard!

As our English-Speaking Union, Kentucky Branch Shakespeare Competition State Winner, Andy Wallace from the Youth Performing Arts School, takes the stage in New York City to represent Kentucky at the ESU National Shakespeare Competition the same weekend as this event, we couldn’t be more proud. Andy’s talent, dedication, and love of the language embody the very spirit of this program, and we are cheering him on every step of the way!
In honor of the National Competition—and in celebration of William Shakespeare’s birthday on April 23—we are delighted to welcome a representative from Kentucky Shakespeare to share the exciting work they are doing to bring the Bard to life across the Commonwealth. From innovative performances to dynamic educational outreach, their commitment to making Shakespeare accessible and engaging for all is something we are thrilled to spotlight. It’s a joyful moment to celebrate talent, tradition, and the enduring power of Shakespeare’s words—both on the national stage and right here at home.
