National Shakespeare Competition

The English-Speaking Union National Shakespeare Competition assists high school teachers across the country with their Shakespeare and language arts curricula. Through the competition, students are encouraged to develop their communication skills and an appreciation of the power of language and literature. 


2018 ESU Phoenix Shakespeare Competition

Schools in the Phoenix area serving grades 9-12 are invited to participate.

School Competition

Complete 2018 School Participation Form by February 9, 2018 to register your school

Notify the ESU Phoenix of your School Winner by completing the School Winner Entry Form by February 16, 2018

  • All School Winners must complete and return the Photo Release Form by February 16, 2018

Branch Competition Finals

9:00am, February 24, 2018 at Mesa Arts Center (1 E. Main St., Mesa, AZ 85201)

National Competition

The ESU Phoenix Branch Winner will advance to the National Competition in New York on April 23, 2018 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater, Lincoln Center
