The English-Speaking Union National Shakespeare Competition assists high school teachers across the country with their Shakespeare and language arts curricula. Through the competition, students are encouraged to develop their communication skills and an appreciation of the power of language and literature.

Schools in the Portland area serving grades 9-12 are invited to participate.
Complete 2018 School Participation Form to register your school by January 29, 2018
Notify the ESU Portland of your School Winner by completing the School Winner Entry Form by February 2, 2018
Branch Competition Finals
11:00am, February 17, 2018 at the Fir Acres Theatre, Lewis and Clark College (0615 SW Palatine Hill Rd., MSC 54, Portland, OR 97219)
The ESU Portland Branch Winner will advance to the National Competition, tentatively scheduled for April 23, 2018 (Location to be confirmed)
