The English-Speaking Union National Shakespeare Competition assists high school teachers across the country with their Shakespeare and language arts curricula. Through the competition, students are encouraged to develop their communication skills and an appreciation of the power of language and literature.

Schools across Rhode Island serving grades 9-12 are invited to participate.
Complete 2018 School Participation Form by October 16, 2017
Notify the ESU Rhode Island of your School Winner by completing the School Winner Entry Form by January 31, 2018
Branch Competition Finals
11:30am, February 25, 2018 at The Providence Athanaeum (251 Benefit St., Providence, RI 02903)
The ESU Rhode Island Winner will advance to the National Competition on April 23, 2018 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater, Lincoln Center, New York City
