National Shakespeare Competition

The English-Speaking Union National Shakespeare Competition assists high school teachers across the country with their Shakespeare and language arts curricula. Through the competition, students are encouraged to develop their communication skills and an appreciation of the power of language and literature. 

 

2018 ESU Southwest Virginia Shakespeare Competition

Schools in the Southwest Virginia area serving grades 9-12 are invited to participate.

School Competition

Complete 2018 School Participation Form by November 1, 2017

Notify the ESU Southwest Virginia of your School Winner by completing the School Winner Entry Form by January 1, 2018

Branch Competition Finals

10:00am, February 3, 2018 at Virginia Western Community College

National Competition

The ESU Southwest Virginia Branch Winner will advance to the National Competition, tentatively scheduled for April 23, 2018 (Location to be confirmed)
