High school students develop analytical and communication skills by performing Shakespeare at the school, community, and national levels. Since 1983 more than 390,000 students have brought the timeless works of Shakespeare to life. <\/div>\n          <\/div>\n        <\/a>\n      <\/div>\n            <div class=\"card-item\">\n        <a href=\"\">\n                    <div class=\"card-image\" style=\"background-image: url(https:\/\/www.esuus.org\/syracuse-new\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/30\/2026\/02\/Ballet-569x1024.jpg);\"><\/div>\n          <div class=\"info\">\n            <h3 class=\"paragraph-title heading-3\">Monthly Programs <\/h3>\n            <div class=\"paragraph\">The Syracuse Branch provides interesting speakers at each monthly meeting.  These speakers deal with the cultural, educational, historical, and social institutions of our community.  Recent programs include speakers from Syracuse Stage, Red House Performing Arts, Syracuse Opera, The Rosamund Gifford Zoo, Onondaga Historical Association, Syracuse Orchestra, Central New York Ballet, Seward House Museum in Auburn, The Food Bank of Central New York, the Everson Art Museum, the Erie Canal Museum, A Tiny Home for Good, the United Way, and many more.<\/div>\n          <\/div>\n        <\/a>\n      <\/div>\n            <div class=\"card-item\">\n        <a href=\"\">\n                    <div class=\"card-image\" style=\"background-image: url(https:\/\/www.esuus.org\/syracuse-new\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/30\/2024\/09\/happy-hour-revised-1024x732.jpg);\"><\/div>\n          <div class=\"info\">\n            <h3 class=\"paragraph-title heading-3\">Happy Hour Series<\/h3>\n            <div class=\"paragraph\">In response to the COVID-19 world, in July of 2020 ESU members got together to introduce the virtual Happy Hour Program, which has been met with resounding success. The Happy Hour Program brings guest speakers from locations all over the world, live and free of charge using the Zoom format. And to make it a real happy hour, a few of the speakers suggest signature cocktails to match the theme for the attendees to create and enjoy at home during their presentations. Many speakers also offer exciting participation opportunities with fun give-away books and products at the end of each program. Students and volunteers meet weekly for one-to-one conversation practice. At the heart of the program is a commitment to cross-cultural exchange.
