On June 26, 2024, ESU Kansas City members attended the Shakespeare political thriller of Julius Caesar by the Heart of America Shakespeare Festival (HASF). It was a spectacular Shakespeare production with powerful performances by the entire cast. The lavish stage scenery was exceptional with colorful period costumes. Everyone had a great time outdoors at Southmoreland Park. Prior to the start of the play, ESU members attended the Show Talk hosted by Dr. Felicia Londre. She presented the play’s history, and gave insight into the conspiracy against Caesar, his assassination and the defeat of his conspirators. It was a delightful evening in the Park as the weather cooled off after several previous days of very hot, humid weather.
