Kyle Gerstel wins Seattle Shakespeare Competition

Kyle Gerstel from Mercer Island High School, winner of the 2025 Seattle Shakespeare Competition, and his teacher Daniela Melgar were all smiles. Kyle placed in the top 10 in the National Finals and also won a People’s Choice Award.

Melgar is attending a week-long theater class this summer at the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust in Stratford-upon-Avon on a scholarship from the Seattle Branch.
