ESU Shreveport Branch Dinner Meeting with Dr. Alex Mikaberidze

Dr. Mikaberidze will speak about “The Man Beneath the Hat” which examines Napoleon beyond the battlefield, focusing on the character traits and work habits that drove his remarkable success, but also helped contribute to his downfall. The lecture will explore his discipline, memory, ambition, decisiveness, and capacity for intense work, while also considering how those same qualities could lead to overconfidence, over extension, and costly mistakes. It will offer a closer look at Napoleon as a complex individual whose greatest strengths were often closely tied to his greatest weaknesses.
