The LA Branch Recognizes William Goldyn

The Los Angeles Branch is proud to recognize high school theatre teacher Mr. William Goldyn.  Mr. Goldyn teachers at Romone C. Cortines VAPA and has been participating in the ESULA National Shakespeare Competition for over 10 years.  In the last three years, under his guidance and direction, Alise Draper- 2025 and Stella Cockrum-2023 represented the Los Angeles Branch at the National competition in New York City.

This Spring, Alise Draper went on to be a top ten finalist at the 2025 National Shakespeare Competition. This summer Mr. Goldyn studied abroad with the T-Lab program.  Not only is he an amazing teacher he also has a great passion for learning.  We were thrilled that Mr. Goldyn has this life changing opportunity and we are excited for his students and what new skills and talents they will bring to the future National Shakespeare Competitions.  Look out for Mr. Goldyn wearing his Shakespeare tie and warm smile.  His dedication to both his students and the Bard make him an exceptional teacher and life long student. Thank you Mr, Goldyn for your tireless dedication and excellence in teaching.
