What We Do
Teachers Learning Abroad (TLab)

Introducing the Central Florida ESU 2026 TLab Scholars…

This year’s Central Florida ESU TLAB Scholars are a wonderful group of teachers from Orange County. Ranging from middle school to high school, and English to Theatre, these five teachers are going to have such great experiences across the pond at Oxford and the Globe!

Pictured left to right: Jan McClure (Branch President), Olivia Ciliberti, Lisa Barrows, Brenna Warner, Andrew Browne, and Kristina Thompson (VP Scholarships)

Our three Globe scholars are Lisa Barrows, Brenna Warner, and Andrew Browne. Lisa and Brenna both teach middle school theatre courses and run busy programs at Hamlin Middle School and Lake Nona Middle School, respectively. Andrew teaches high school English to a range of students at East River High School. Our Globe scholars are also fortunate this year because they will get a bonus week to study in Stratford-upon-Avon in the ESU’s Page to Stage program!

Two high school English teachers, Randi Campbell and Olivia Ciliberti, will be attending Oxford University to study English Literature. As Oxford students, they receive access to some excellent resources, including lectures by decorated professors and the Bodleian Library. We are so excited to see what valuable resources they bring back to Winter Park High School and Horizon High School!

Congratulations to all of our dynamic TLab Scholars! We cannot wait to hear about your adventures when you return and exchange what are sure to be entertaining stories at the fall TLab Reunion!

“This experience has been transformative, and I thank the ESU for making it happen. It’s been so valuable to experience being a student instead of a teacher, especially with people who are passionate about their craft.” – Kristopher Kahn, 2022 Edinburgh Scholar
