The Topics are:
  • Standardized testing does more good than harm.
  • Cell phones should be banned from K-12 schools in New Jersey
  • Hosting the Olympics is not worth the rewards.
  • Ban deep-sea mining!
 
Saturday, November 16, 2024 at The Ranney School 
The Topics are:
  • The United States should not send humans to space.
  • End Daylight Savings Time.
  • Virtual reality technology does more harm than good.

The Topics for the December 9th Tournament are:

  • Americans should be required to complete one year of national service.
  • Cultural treasures should be returned to their country of origin.
  • Animal testing is unethical.

TOPICS from APRIL 22, 2023 CHAMPIONSHIP

  • ChatGPT does more harm than good.
  • Ban single-use plastic water bottles.
  • Abolish the United Nations Security Council.
  • Captive live animal displays (i.e., zoos and aquariums) do more harm than good.

 

February 4, 2023 TOURNAMENT:

  • TikTok is a bad influence.
  • Homework causes more harm than good.
  • New Jersey should end the bear hunt

 

2020 TOURNAMENT:

  • Social media platforms should ban political advertising.
  • All U.S. Presidential primaries should be held on the same day.
  • Major League Baseball’s plan to cut minor league teams is justified.
  • Ban single-use plastic bags.
