SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 8 @ 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM EST
LIVE via Zoom from Oxford, England
Are you a high school educator eager to make Shakespeare’s sonnets more accessible and engaging for your students?
The ESU is excited to invite you to an exclusive professional development workshop, designed for teachers involved in the National Shakespeare Competition, TLab, or any of the ESU’s education programs.
Led by Eunice Roberts—former dean and current course director at the British American Drama Academy (BADA)—this interactive workshop will be broadcast LIVE via Zoom from Oxford, England. Eunice will share her expertise as a classically trained actor and educator, demonstrating how performance techniques can deepen students’ understanding and appreciation of Shakespeare’s poetry. Through the study of two selected sonnets, participants will gain practical tools for using rhythm and language to unlock the rich potential of Shakespeare’s text.
This workshop is ideal for high school English and drama educators, especially those participating in the ESU National Shakespeare Competition. Participants can also earn Professional Development credits through the New York City Department of Education.
Don’t miss this opportunity to bring fresh insights and excitement to your teaching!
